TESTIMONIALS
"We are so grateful to the College Funding Center for their guidance through the college plication process and in seeking financial aid. Not only has our daughter received a very nice financial aid package, but the College Funding Center's guidance has helped us dramatically reduce our tax liability." Bob and Chris
“Rob Mendenall of College Funding Center of South Carolina has provided not
only direct, factual and sound advice for funding college for our four sons, but he has also provided additional services relating directly to our sons regarding their current high school choices, career choices and selecting the college that best suits those choices. But the most valuable of all services is the peace of mind that we as parents can have to do our job of parenting, while Rob is doing his job of researching and unscrambling the confusing world of college funding.”
Respectfully, Sheila
“We just wanted to thank you for the information you provided that helped us to market David as a student athlete. We feel truly blessed that he obtained a scholarship from the University of Central Florida, and your information was so helpful. We also want to thank you for the continued guidance in regard to making informed decisions about business & personal finances, life insurance and retirement planning, etc. Thank you for recommending the Thompson-Peterson SAT preparation and for helping us work out how we're going to pay for Tracy's college. The services that you've provided have been so valuable and we just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate you.” Thanks so much, David & Barbara
“Just a couple of lines to show my appreciation to the College Funding Center. My wife and I really appreciate the help that was given in relieving the burden of all the necessary paperwork that was required for our sons application process to several colleges. It really made the process less stressful.” Thanks Again, M & M Clark
“I am impressed with the services offered by the College Funding Center and the professionalism of the company. This service offers all athletes the opportunity to plan and prepare for the financial burdens that occur to attend a college or University. I am also impressed with the low pressure presentations that Rob and his staff delivers to potential clients.”
Sincerely, Tim Hunter, Athletic Director, Spring Valley High School
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the help you have given me getting my son ready for college. When I was trying to go through all the information concerning financial aid and going on the internet to fill out the FAFSA I was totally confused, then I received a notice about your orientation. It was so informative and then I when I had a chance to speak to you directly and have you take on the challenge of this important task, you took away all of my tension and pressure because I had no idea what I needed to do. So I would like to say Thank You for everything you have done and will continue to do” Sincerely, Debra
“Mr. Mendenall's presentation on "Making College Affordable" exceeded my expectations. It was so comprehensive in its coverage of
information important to student athletes and their parents. The practical suggestions on ways to pay for a college education were real
eye-openers that grabbed the attention of parents and made them want to know more. Having seen the response to the presentation, I now think
it's a "must-do" for our students and parents.” Zelder N. Pressley, Director, Guidance Department, Richland Northeast High School
“Being out of money and out of time, our family attended a seminar with Rob and Gerald just after the start of our daughter’s senior year. Understandably, we were very skeptical at first. However, Rob and Gerald worked with us very closely, sometimes daily, and presented us with a very comprehensive plan that has virtually worked miracles for us. Because of the wonderful work of Rob and Gerald, our daughter will attend a prestigious private college in the fall and we will still have plenty of money left in our pockets. Mom, Dad and daughter are thrilled!” Don and Karen
What initially drew me to the College Funding Center was their information about student-athlete recruiting; however, the knowledge that Rob and Gerald can provide extends far beyond athletics. Blythewood High School has hosted numerous workshops including 'How to Plan and Pay for College,' 'Student-Athlete Recruiting,' and 'Financial Aid/FAFSA 101.' The information and materials covered in their workshops exceeds what we, as high school counselors, can provide to parents and students. Not only do they discuss the role of guidance in the college process, but they also teach parents how to effectively pay for college without sacrificing retirement. Rob and Gerald can show parents how to file the FAFSA, but more importantly, they teach parents the importance and relevance of the numbers. I have spoken with numerous parents who have attended the workshops and/or private sessions, and all of them have been extremely pleased with the information and assistance provided to them. The College Funding Center should be a resource used by each and every guidance department in South Carolina.

The information, materials and assistance that we have received from the College Funding Center of SC have have strengthened how we serve our students and their families here at Spring Valley High School. Their financial aid workshops provide extremely informative, relevant and up-to-date information. Their "How to Pay for College" workshop is a strong addition to the college planning workshops that we provide each year. Their FAFSA workshop accurately and concisely addresses what parents have to know when filing for financial aid. Their "Student Athlete" workshop sets the standard for what student athletes and their parents have to know regarding the NCAA, athletic scholarship issues and marketing student athletes to collegiate coaches. The student-athlete manual that provide is a must have for any student who aspires to play collegiate-level sports.
Although they are very effective in walking parents through the complexities of financial aid, scholarships and athletic elegibility, they never lose sight of the the importance of student academic success as the cornerstone of it all.
